The Furnishing Industry Trust (FIT) held their annual Big Shots clay pigeon shoot last week. The fundraiser was hosted at the prestigious Holland & Holland shooting grounds in North London. FIT provides help to those from the furniture industry in hardship or needing support. There was a good turnout for the event, with forty-four teams entered this year. 

 

Wood Bros entered a team of four guns appropriately named ‘The Old Charmers’! Lots of competitive fun was had by all. Especially at the “flurry” point where they all shot at a remote controlled plane and then at a “swarm” of 60 clay pigeons in a free-for-all shoot-em up!   

 

Whilst The Old Charmers did not win any of the prize giving awards, they did manage to win, during the auction, the selection of Single Malt Whiskies!! Next year we will hopefully enter a ladies team from the office!
